Apple – Remembering Steve Jobs

Apple has set up a webpage for people to leave tributes to Steve Jobs.  I was traveling when the news broke that Mr. Jobs had died at the age of 56, so I wasn’t able to comment on it, here.  Death in general is sad, but it is somehow more disturbing when it is someone that clearly had more to offer.  It’s amazing to think of the impact Steve Jobs has had on our culture.  The Macintosh computer.  Pixar.  iTunes.  The iPod.  The iPhone.  The iPad.  He clearly was a genius.

Like many people, I’m sure, I found out about Steve Jobs’ death by a popup notification message on my iPhone, from an app.  Part of Jobs’ genius was to not ask us what we wanted, but to figure it out himself.  Many companies get an opportunity to innovate once.  Apple has innovated over and over.

My condolences to Mr. Jobs’ family and colleagues.
